DoWaiLoWe: Our Don't Wait to Lose Weight group (DoWaLoWe) is a self-help group which began in January, 2009. Each new member is asked to state the number of pounds she hopes to lose and to briefly describe her weight-loss method. DoWaLoWe has its own e-mailing list for weekly weigh-ins. Members of the group check their weight every Monday morning by noontime and then report their weight gain or loss (number of pounds) or maintenance of the same weight to all members of the group. Knowing that other friends are attempting to lose weight and reporting one's own weight control on a weekly basis have proven effective in keeping members on track. Mary Loudin is the coordinator. If an individual member does not have e-mail, she may call Mary every Monday before noon, who will then report the results to the group.

FLICK CHICKS: This group is planning to see “Rocket Man” on Tuesday, June 11th. Dottie will be in touch by email with the time to meet.

LET’S DO LUNCH: This group will be going back to The Breezy on Thursday, June 27th, meeting at the restaurant at 12:30 p.m. If you are planning to attend, please let Merrilee know.

WAYWAYANDA WALKERS: Weather permitting, this group will continue to meet at the lake parking lot in Wawayanda State Park on Mondays at 11 a.m. Children and dogs are welcome. Park regulations require that dogs be on leashes. You do not have to call Mary if you are walking, just show up by 11 a.m. Remember that you need a Senior Pass to enter the park for free after Memorial Day.

WORKING WOMEN’S CHAT-A-BIT DINNER GROUP: This group will be going back to The Breezy on Thursday, June 27th, meeting at the restaurant at 12:30 p.m. If you are planning to attend, please let Merrilee know.
